How do I use 2 different containers on the DNN Portal. I have a live site where am using one skin and one container , I just bought a new container and am trying to use it in some pages only but not all, how do I do this?

First you should test your new container on a development site if possible! I recently read two threads where people broke their site after applying a new skin / container: See "Skin / Container Uploade Broke 4.0.2 Admin Content" and "Screwed the site with new skin. Now needs HELP!".

If you want to apply the new container to all modules on a page, go to the Advanced Settings / Appearance section of the page's settings, and select the container from the Page Container select box.

To apply the container to only one module, go to the Page Settings / Basic Settings section of the module's settings, and select the container from the Module Container select box.

I want to apply it to just one module, and when I go through Page Settings / Basic Settings section of the module's settings all I get is the container thats alpllied to all the site I can seem to get the new container I just installed.

Did you try both of the radio buttons "Host" and "Site" above the select box? If you uploaded the container when logged in as superuser (=host), the container is selectable from all portals (when the radio button "Host" is selected).  If you did the upload as portal admin, the container is selectable from that portal only (when "Site" is selected).
