I like how snowcovered.com has modules organized by tags, how did they do that?

eg

Tags
DotNetNuke 3 , DotNetNuke 4 , Private Assembly (PA) Included , Source NOT Included , Utilities

My site will allow users to create lots of "projects" in a wide variety of categories. i think tagging is a quick and easy way to organize information and let people find similar things. It works great on flickr and now amazon for example.

I'm wondering if there is some built-in tagging feature or if I should add a 'tag' entry to my database. I wanted to know how snowcovered did it to make sure I wasn't reinventing the wheel. If you have any tips, i'd love to hear them.

thanks!
