Hi,

It is quite a while that I have been facing a problem with having View-Edit mode radiobuttons on the top of the page while I am not logged in. I have not been able to resolve it yet. I appreciate any help.

More details, the page does not show 'Show Control Panel' on the top right side and only shows 'Mode view O   Edit O ' on the top left. No F5, Ctrl+F5, clearing cache or any kind of refreshing helps.  Also no autologin has been setup in my portal. Moreover, when I click on Edit radiobutton to see what it does, it does not do anything except refreshing the page as if it goes half through the whole process of turning the page into edit mode.

I have not touched anything in the engine of DNN. I just downloaded DNN 4.5.5 and installed it on my machine, running Win XP SP2.

I even logged in and logged out to see if it goes away but it is still there. Please help if you have already seen this issue and know how to solve it, or you have some hunch that may eventually solve this problem.

Cheers,

Mehrbod

check all module on the page, at least one of it has been granted edit permission for all or unauthenticated users If this is by intention, set cache time of the module in module settings to -1

Thanks for your help. It worked and I am relieved now! One of the modules had inherited its permission from the parent page and the parent page would let all users edit the page. I set it to have its own inheritance and removed Edit permission for all users. I also fixed the page permission settings too but it was not necessary, do not know why but I do not care.

Cheers,

Mehrbod
