We are investigating the possibility of using dnn for a customer-facing tool and we are impressed as to what we see so far. A requirement we have is the ability to link one/many users to a company/customer. We’re thinking of creating a non-dnn customer table and adding a customer index field to the user profile.

Has anyone else tried this? How was it achieved? Any issues to watch out for? What did you use for a front-end to maintain the customer table.

Thanks in advance for your help.

you should add a custom profile type "customer" that draws data from the customer table. you can use a custom module to display/manage customers in your portal.

Danke Sebastian, where can I get more info on profile property definition.  I see a List Data Type and was wondering if I can tie in the customer table to list the customers.  I checked out the online help but there were no details on Data Type.
