I was wondering if anyone knows of either a third party module or how to do this stright with DNN but I want to be able to restrict the capabilities of portal clients. We are planning to offer template sites and want the users to have the ability to change content or hide / display certain pages but no more. They cannot delete pages or add any pages or modules.

How would I best accomplish this?

there is no option like this in the core and AFAIK no module available.

Your best bet from my understanding would be to setup the site for them, then create them a user with a specific role and grant that role edit permissions to ONLY the desired modules/pages, but I do not believe you can get exactly what you want even with this method.

Hi rslacker3,

Read this post on the Snapsis site.  It's a solution I worked out for my own sites with the exact same needs.  It works on my sites.  Hope it helps you.
