I know this is a really basic question, but I'm like so new with dotnetnuke, I'm just getting started with all the fine tuning of my site.

I want to add some content from weather.com to my site.  They gave me some code that starts with...
<div id="wx_module_2742">
   <a href="
http://www.weather.com/weather/local/11727">Coram Weather Forecast, NY (11727)</a>
</div>

<script type="text/javascript">

and ends in...
document.write('<scr'+'ipt src="'+document.location.protocol+'//wow.weather.com/weather/wow/module/'+wx_locID+'?config='+wx_config+'&proto='+document.location.protocol+'&target='+wx_targetDiv+'"></scr'+'ipt>');
</script>

When I go into the edit text and hit the content button, I paste the full code block into the textbox.  When I save the page, I only get a hyperlink, not the image nor the javascript.  What am I missing?

use one of the free weather modules that are available, that is more comfortable and save.

The weather.com is free to use but I can't customize it.  I was hoping for a pointer on maybe what I was doing wrong...  I'll dabble with it and figure it out.  thanks.

I too have run into this problem...it seems when pasting scripts into code view on a text/html module that it will "clean the code" or not preserve the format. You could try choosing Basic Text Box  instead of Rich Text Editor when in edit mode and then choose Raw for the data type at the bottom of the editor field. If you need the weather side by side another html element in the same module you could paste that code into a blank .html page...upload it to your file manager and then use iframe code to source it in sized wherever you need it. Hope that helps
