My installation completed and I can briing up localhost/portal. My problem is when I try to login into site, I get the following error ASP.NET user does not have permission to log in. I have set up database and permission on SQL  Express and I have tried using the using the default database.  I get  error site is unavailable. Here is my web.config file settings

   <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2005 Express -->
    <add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=MISDEPT\SQLExpress;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
    <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2000/2005
    <add

    Xname="SiteSqlServer"

      connectionString="Server=(local);Database=DotNetNuke;uid=jbrock;pwd=shard;"
      providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
    -->
  </connectionStrings>
  <appSettings>
    <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2005 Express - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules   -->
    <!--
    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=MISDEPT\SQLExpress;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True" />
     -->
    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=(local);Database=Database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True"/>
    <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2000/2005 - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules
    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=MISDEPT\SQLExpress;Database=DotNetNuke;uid=jbrock;pwd=;jbrock1~"/>
    -->

I have not been able to figure out why I can not log in. I have checked file permission and ASP.NET permissions and they all look correct.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Jbrock,

I cant help you with your problem- but just in case thats a real userID and SQL password I would remove it and change it on your live server - it's a prime target for hacking...

Out of interest, does it work when you uncomment the userID and pw instead of using integrated security?

As rodney says, you'll want to change the login and password....but I think I see your mistake....

<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=MISDEPT\SQLExpress;Database=DotNetNuke;uid=jbrock;pwd=;jbrock1~"/>

You have the semicolon immediately after pwd=.  The semicolon should be after the actual password.
