I assume there are 4 level of backup/restore. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

  1. Hosting or DNN installation.
  2. Website or Portal
  3. Page
  4. Module

I have same questions for all of level:

  1. How/ Where are we backup/restore data and code for each level?
  2. Do we have auto backup function?
  3. When develope a module, do we need to design backup/restore feature or DNN will do it for us?

DNN provides the IPortable interface. You can implement data import/export on your module

We have 2 popular modules for a DNN backup/restore solution (www.evotiva.com)
