I installed DNN on my IP address because my other site was still live. Is there a way to change the link from the IP address to the mydomain.com/ddn portal? I tried to look for it on my webconfig, but found nothing. I havent checked on my SQL backend yet. That would be my last...but, when I type in the URL, it will still redirect me to the IP address. for example:

mydomain.com/termsofservice will redirect me to IPADDRESS/termsofservice.

How can I reconfigure without destroying my database?

login as superuser "host", go to portals in Host menu, select your portal, scroll down settings page to the far end and add the new address as additional portal alias.

As simple as it sounds, I tried that, and it doesnt work. I think there is something I must configure either in the webconfig, or the SQL database. But I dont want to have to start over again. . Is there any alternatives?

please describe your issue more in detail. If the site does not show up, it is an IIS / domain addressing issue, if there is an error about missing Database connection, the issue is on the SQL server side or the connection to it.

Simplified version...

Your DNS = 168.xxx.xxx.xxx.

Your outside IP address (168.xxx.xxx.xxx) = your internal IP address 10.0.0.x,

IIS is configured to listen on 10.0.0.x.

In your DNN Portal alias/HTTP allias should have 10.0.0.x AND you www.yourdomain.com.
