Create Two pages;

a) Home

b) Blog

Then add a Text / HTML module to Home Page and add some content on it.

Go to Page Settings for Home Page and at bottom and define  an URL (in this case i had to define http://www.domainname.com/home.aspx  in order to get my custom friendly url provider working)

Then update Page Settings.

Go to Blog page and try to add an existing module;

Note that: You will not be able to select Home page in Control Panel.

This also applies for when you use Alexa Redirects for pages.

Any workaround for this?

Thanks

This is intended behaviour, if you use a page redirection, the page itself should stay clear of any modules, as noone will be able to see it - and therefore it is not listed in the dropdown list for pages, when selecting a module to copy.

Workaround: remove the redirection for the page to copy from.

Hi again,

Click on Settings button on any module;

in Page Settings > Advanced Settings > there are three options

  • Set as Default
  • Apply to All Modules
  • Move to this Page

But we can pick  the page to move module, is it possible to apply this scheme to Add Existing Module in Control Panel too?

Thanks.
