I'm having difficulty with my page settings, specifically the Link URL in the Advanced Page Settings.

I've searched high and low, but cannot find how to allow an item in my menu open up a url in a new window. Anyone know how to do this? I'd like to do this on a per-item basis; but would settle for a global setting (only on the portal level though) if that's all I can do.

Maybe this has been discussed before in here...but I can't find it.

Much thanks,

ben

Someone else had pretty much the exact same question posted here:

There was a post about this before, that I can't find, that is probably much more informative about this than I am going to be, since I just have the answer, not information about the answer.

In the Advanced Settings where you would place the URL put
void(window.open('YOUR_URL_HERE'));

Hope that works for what you need.

I kept getting js errors using the method from Baatezu and came up with something different that is working perfectly fine.

Here it is:

 window.location.reload();window.open("SiteURL")
