I recently attempted to move a DNN 3.2.2. install from an old web server to a new “higher hp” web server prior to upgrading to DNN 4.x.x. I started the process by installing DNN 3.2.2 on the new server and copying the old site over the new site saving the release.config file so that I could replace the machinekey entries in the web.config file. I created the website on the new server in IIS, set the framework to 1.1 and updated my local host file to point at the new server. All went as expected and I can now hit the new site. The only problem I have is, I cannot log into the new site with known admin, host or user accounts. Is there information in the DB that will not allow me to login from the new web server. If anyone has any thoughts that might help me get past this problem it would be most appreciated.

Thanks much.

You must make sure that the machinekey values in the web.config match the values that were used on the actual site.
