Sorry, ignore first question - I was running it through a replacement routine so was giving out bogus info - it is working fine with "url".

Ok, so my main question is how to extend TokenReplace:

Basically I have implemented IPropertyAccess for the Smart-Thinker Event info object. This all works and I can replace tokens with:

PropertySource["event"] = new EventTokens(smartThinker_EventInfo)

message = new EventTokenReplace(smartThinker_EventInfo).ReplaceEventTokens(message);

I then call:

message = new DotNetNuke.Services.Tokens.TokenReplace().ReplaceEnvironmentTokens(message );

the problem is that I have all the core tokens have been removed (replaced with blank) after my first call to EventTokenReplace. I was hoping it would only match the tokens in the string with a name of "event", but it removes all of them (User, Portal etc.)

Is this by design?

If it is, how should I extend Token Replace to reference my EventTokenReplace so that it calls all the core functions and mine and replaces all tokens correctly?

Much appreciated!

Rodney,

you need to override the tokenreplace class with your own derived modification, which calls its base method for core tokens. Have a look at new Announcements 4 module, which shall be available soon for download.
