I am having problems with email notifications.... specifically retreving a users password via email. I can't get dnn to send an email to a user when it is requested from the "retreive password module".
I have checked the following settings.
1. Host settings>Host Detail>Host email, is a valid email address.
2. Host settings>Advanced Settings>Smtp server Settings>SMTP server and port> valid and email is sent Successfully.
3. Host settings>Advanced Settings>Smtp server Settings>SMTP Auth set to 'basic'
4. Host settings>Advanced Settings>Smtp server Settings>SMTP username : Valid
5. Host settings>Advanced Settings>Smtp server Settings>SMTP password: Valid
6. Admin>User Acct = Valid email address
The only thing of note that I can think of: I can't figure out what the settings of item 4 and 5 do... they seem to have no effect on the test email... but are valid for my smtp server.
Please help... I
