Guys!
those of you who have large subscription number of users HOW DO YOU SEND NEWSLETTERS???
I am sick and tiered of not being able to send out newsletters to everyone of my users, ever since my mail list subscribers number reached almost 2000 my SMPT is getting blocked right after I send out our offers..
SO I was about to ask HOW sites like this one is sending newsletters to US? Here on this site is almost HALF A MILLION users....
I am confused.Please help.

AFAIK the limit is set by the SMTP server you are using, not by DNN - if you are using async mode.

Large sits usually use external tools to send out messages with monitoring etc.

THis is it... what services ( extended tools ) you are talking about can you reccomend?

I like the Data Spring's Opt-in Email module...setup a nice double-opt-in/out newsletter with some slick features in about a half hour....very nice. It might serve your needs.

They use a third party solution. I think they are listed here as a sponsor.

I use a third party product http://www.xigla.com  newsletter tool and export the users, and import into the system.

Snowcovered.com also uses a third party solution called Constant Contact.

These products seem to handle the correct method in sending email, avoid you getting blacklisted, specialise in being able to handle bounces, track views, provide self mangement for users etc.  I am sure some of the dnn modules provided do the job, but it's really also about the ability to send large volumes of mail on the server without disrupting site performance, and to be honest, I don't think this is dnn's strong point at this time.
