How can I install DNN on a webserver, like Brinkster.com. I have have a pro account where ASP.Net is supported. I ask Brinkster technical support, they said DNN is supported but how to install it, I must check from DNN web

 

Can any one help me regarding this.

You need to download required version from dotnetnuke site. Create virtual directory which points to the physical folder of your downloaded files. You need to rename release.config to web.config. You need to make connection string chnages in web.config file.  Since you are a beginner i suggest you to look at Professional DotNetNuke 4 book. This book explains very well about installation.  I hope this helps.

Download the DNN Installation package.  Download the documentation package.  Read the installation documentation.  Read it a second time.  Ensure your web server is configured correctly, permissions, SQL server, ASP.NET framework.  Modify the web.config to match your server settings.  Upload everything to your web server.  Browse to your web server and follow the wizard.
