I posted earlier today a question about how to use the Forum Module.  I now see that there is a newer version of the forum module available. Can someone please tell me how to upgrade that module?  I've downloaded Forum_04.04.03_Source.zip file.  Now what do I do?  Do I just extract it to the c:\DotNetNuke folder? (That is where I installed DNN).  I've done that already but when I look at the versions of all my modules, it still shows the old version (3.20.09).  Do I have to uninstall the old version first?  Can someone please explain the process for upgrading a module, or direct me to another link where this is already discussed?  Thanks

Do NOT use the source file, use the install file. The source is only needed if you want to develop your own extensions, modifications etc. of the module, not for running it in a production environment.

Once you've got the install zip file, login as host, go to Host > Module definitions and upload the new module, just like you would any other module. But before you do that I highly recommend you read the FAQ (pinned at the top of this forum) to find out some details about permissions (very different concept than in old version) and design/layout (only default theme works at this time, and you'll need to change your default file extension for forum images).
