Is there a way for the default page permissions to be inherited from the parent page?

Thanks,
Terry

Thanks for answering Sebastian.  This seems to me like a very basic item that may have been overlooked, as every access control system I've ever seen is based on inheritance.  My immediate problem is that if someone has rights to edit a page, then they can also create new pages.  But if they forget to assign themselves permissions for the newly created page, then they can't work with the page they created!  Is there a way around this?

Terry

I agree, that the permission model for pages shall be enhanced, you should vote for it on the roadmap page here on DNN.com

Of course, due to limited resources of our team it may take some time to get implemented.
