Most of my site is going to be a forum but I don't really know anything about creating modules and I can't seem to find a forum one anywhere. Also in my forum, I'd like for my users to be able to include a command in their post which will draw up information from my SQL database.

log in as Superuser ("host"), go to Module Definitions in Host menu and install forum module, either from the list of available modules at the bottom of the list or by installing the updated version, you previously downloaded from the download page of dotnetnuke.com. Afterwards add a new page and add the module onto it. For detailed instructions see the Forums manual available from the Forums project's download page.
