Hi,

I would like to port an old IBuySpy portal to a newer one, e.g. 4.6.2. And I am seeking for your advices with the following questions:

a) What are the best ways to approach this?

b) Since the databases are quite different - additional columns, etc, how would I merge them without spending a lot of time on it?

c) What document(s) that list the portal attributes? e.g. content pane size, etc. And how would I set those attributes, e.g. portal.css?

d) I would like to customize on how the module behaves - what are the best ways to do that?

Thank you very much for your help. Any comment is greatly appreciated.

There is so much that is different that I doubt there's a way to merge/import anything.  I think you'll find yourself recreating instead.  Basically, you'd be starting from scratch, maybe cut and pasting the content to new modules.

Jeff's right. You are looking at 5 plus years between IBuySpy and DNN 4.6.2 ... there is no way you gonna "merge" or upgrade anything here.
