Are you just looking for a specific page to allow users to login?

If so, add a new page to your portal

Then add the login module to the page with any other items you wish to add.

Then edit site settings to designate that page as the new login page.

Hi Mitch,

what I really want is to create a custom registration page with extra fields(company,SSN etc).

Is there a tutorial about this issue.

I want to evaluate the difficulty of this task vs buying a module that creates custom registration pages

thanks

You can easily add a Profile Property. All users will have to enter the required properties when they try to log into the site. Just go to Users->Manage Profile Propreties.

Hi John,

I tried that.

But my problem is this:

I want the new lets say company field to have a length of 50 characters. This means that the default width used for name,e-mail etc

is not suitable. For instance I have in my database 4-5 company names longer than 30 characters(!). I want a field that shows at least 30 characters.

I have the impression that if a change the default width of the text fields this will apply to all text fields in the control. This is not acceptable for me.

Is there a solution?

thanks
