Is the layout of DNN absolutely specific? I.e is there always:

Top Pane
-----------------
leftpane | Content Pane
| rightpane
-----------------
Bottom Pane



or is it possible to add maybe a "topright pane"
 or any other panes for that matter.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, first post and all that!

The overall design of your site can be changed by the skin. Take a look at the skinning doc on the documentation package and you'll see how it works.
