I’m trying to get the SMTP functionality in DNN to work. I have set my ISPs SMTP server, my id and password. I know I have to also set the SMTP port to 2525. My ISP doesn’t accept port 25 any more. Is there a way of changing to 2525?

Not sure if DNN will allow it, but try putting :2525 after ther server name in Host Settings. No space in between.

Cheers
Roger

Found two ways around this. 1 Use the SMTP service in Windows Server. The SMTP service uses port 25 for incoming traffic; it is also possible to set port 2525 for outgoing traffic. The other way was using my broadband ISP instead of my Mail ISP. The broadband ISP allows port 25.
