Hello,

I've some users that belongs to a security role that I created.

As admin (or host) user I created some pages and gave edit permissions to that security role I've created. I mad that because I want to allow users of that security role to edit modules (HTML editor, for instance). However I do not want them to be able to remove the control from the page.

How do I do this?

Thank you for your attention.

In cases like these I do not give users edit permission on the page, instead I give thm View permission on the page and Edit permission on the modules on that page, this way, they can edit the content of the module but they can not delete it.

Hope this helps.

Hello

Thanks for you reply. In fact it seems to work, however I want to do it with TEXT/HTML control, and if I set view only for a given page, and view for the control, when I log as user, I do not have edit link available, only the pencil icon that gives me less options.

Is there anyway to overcome this?

Regards,

Paulo Abreu

you need to grant edit permission for the module to get the edit option displayed.
