Hi,

i need help please. i need to apply a stylesheet to my site. i don't want to play with the skin at all. this stylesheet is merely to enable me to have styles for my content i.e. different font colours, different font weights, setting the colours of links, etc. i initially thought that this had to be set in the skin and whilst playing around with the text editor, i noticed the link at the bottom - 'Show custom editor options'. when i went into here i noticed the section 'Editor are CSS' and i saw the option to upload a css file. so i thought that this was the way to do it. so i created a .css file with my different styles and uploaded. but to my dismay, there was no change.

All i want to do is set things like font weights, font colours and link colours for active links and visted links, etc. how do i do this? is the way i went about trying to apply this stylesheet, correct? if not, please let me know how to do this?

The style sheets are loaded in a cascade. (Portal->Skin->Module for example) so if the style is set in one of the lower .css pages it'll overwrite the higher one. The changes you made were made to the Portal.css file so if either the skin or the module .css use the same css take (Normal, Head, etc) then you won't see the changes unless you change it on the last one to be loaded. Usually module developers don't mess with the standard style tags so making changes in the skin.css will do the trick.
