Something happened, and I cannot explain what or how to fix it. On a subportal that I have, if I click on a link to a file, I get a You Do Not Have Permission To View The Requested File message. This happens even if I am logged in as host. Neither other child portals, nor the main portal have this issue. The permissions have not changed and are set correctly in the file manager. I even tried re-synching the files but that does not work. This happens if I am logged in as admin or host too.

If I relink the files it works, the permission problems go away.

How can I troubleshoot, or how can i do a mass update?

I had the same issue.  Your Folder Permissions table is most likely empty.

It basically hosed my site.  I think this is an issue with DNN 4.7's sync folder option but I can't find anyone to verify.

The only way I could fix this was to rebuild my site, or restore.

Do you use Oracle?  Then try GoldFish.Net

Get it from CNET Download.com!

The Folder Permissions table is not empty. Also, I'm on 4.5.5

i tried clearing the cache, but that was no help.

Do you have the filesync scheduled job running? There is a defect listed regarding that.

It is my understanding that the Folder Permissions controls that screen.  Have you tried disabling compression and white space?

Thanks for the suggestions Ben. I endedup having to restore from a backup. All the FileID's in the Files table for that portal had changed. The sheduler is my primary culprit.
