Hi,

I have a portal with several domains pointed to it as aliases.  I want this aliased domains to have thier own start page within the portal.  In other words I want the domain of netprocityyouth.com to point to a page specifically for youth.  I then want the domain of netprocityfamily.com to point to a page within the portal about families.  However I want them to be aliased together so they share all the other pages within the portal.  So if i go to netprocityyouth.com/whateverpage1 it would work with netprocityfamily.com/whateverpage1.  I simply want the (splash) page for each of these domains to be different.

Is there a tool available for this?  I tried lots of different ways in IIS to do this, but couldn't ever get it working just right.  Any suggestions?

Thanks
James

AFAIk there is no solution, you might need to create your own redirection page like the default.aspx for child portals.

You can accomplish this using the Traffic Director module by DNN Spired.  You can use it on the splash page to redirect to a custom splash page based on the portal alias.

I may be misunderstanding the situation and request, but wouldn't you want to just use the UrlRwrite? Just add elements to the SiteUrls.config like so:

<RewriterRule>
    <LookFor>.*(netprocityyouth\.com/whateverpage1).*</LookFor>
    <SendTo>http://www.netprocityyouth.com/Default.aspx?tabid=123</SendTo>
</RewriterRule>
