I use the host account to check the "CAPTCHA" checkbox on the Authentication Page for Login page.  Then when I login, the CAPTCHA doesn't work, it always shows a red X box without picture. Then all accounts were blocked to login. What should I do to correct this? It's urgent, thanks for your help.

Hi free last, if you can now logon to your site (which was my problem), then there's nothing further I can add. After I turned off whitespace filtering and set things as per the post referred to in my post, I can now use CAPTCHA. Sorry can't add anything else.

I had the same problem (CAPTCHA broken image on LOGIN module). After reading above mentioned post link I have found solution for me:

SQL Management Studio Ex
- DNN database (used for WWW service)
----Tables
-------dbo.ModuleSettings (use open table right mouse click)
------------DNN_UseCAPTCHA change to FALSE

result is no CAPTCHA images for LOGIN
