Firstly, I'm sorry if this should be in another category.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I just can't seem to find what I'm looking for.  I have my DNN site as a subdirectory of a main website, and it is mainly used for the forums feature.  The main website has no login functionality right now, but I would like to add it.  I am hoping I can use the normal asp.net login controls and the user credentials from my DNN database.  I want to be able to use it to change the main website based on the group the users are a member of in DNN if that makes any sense.

What I am wondering is how I would use an external site to log in to dnn, and how I could use the DNN database in asp.net.  I'm sorry if that makes no sense, I'm new to this and still learning asp.net and DNN.

Thanks!
