Hi Everyone,

I'm fairly new to dnn, but i was wondering how i can go about this, and if it requires a 3rd party module. Basically i have a page, which has a bunch of links to pdf documents, and i don't want anyone except registered users to have access to that page - but i still want the page to show up in the menu, and i want to link to pages - and if you are not logged in, i just want it to stop at a login page first, and and then continue on to the downloads page. Is this possible? some peice of code i can stick in the skin file for that particular page's skin?

any suggestions would help!

Set it up as you have planned but on the page with the downloads page do the following.

1. Add a Login module and set the view properities for unregistered users (make sure that Registered Users is unchecked).

2. On the module with the actual downloads switch the permissions around.

What will happen is that UnRegistered Users will only see the Login module and Registered Users will only see the downloads.

Thanks for the great suggestion - i implemented this idea, and its working pretty good - but for some reason, everytime i log in, it takes me back to the home page rather than staying on the downloads page?! Any idea why?

Hi,

Ditto - On the later version of DNN (04.08.00) notice the redirect is not working.

"HOME/Login/tabid/61/Default.aspx?returnurl=PARTNER.aspx"

Now it takes me straight to the home page where as on previous versions it did work.

Any suggestions?
