hi, i want to put macromedia captiviate .swf movie file demonstrations in the text/html modules.  first i guess: is this the right way to do it?  is there another module better suited?  i have tried to copy and paste in the html section but it would not seem to work.  my html skills are decent but i have a history of making my own sites through dreamweaver which creates the code for me.  any help greatly appreciated.  robert

this seems to work for me... all you have to use is the stuff within the 'embed' tag in the html file that is created when you publish. Just make sure that the flash file is in the portal's file directory.

<EMBED name=YourFlashName pluginspage=http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer align=middle src=/Portals/YourPortalsID/YourFlashName.swf width=530 height=353 type=application/x-shockwave-flash quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain">

Hope this helps
