I need to maintain a staging site which allows management to review content and feature changes to our portal - and approve it.

Once they approve the changes, I need to "push" the same (approved) content and feature updates to a production site.

I'm not sure how to do this in DNN - on a static site, I'd simply copy the whole root directory which would be pages and scripts from staging into production - and I'd be all set.

Someone told me I can do the same thing with DNN, simply copy from the staging site to production - but I'd need to keep my web.config production version (as it points to the production db). Is this the right way to do this? If not, how can you do this with DNN?

(FYI, I'm using DNN 4.08).

Thanks for any help/advice you can provide.
