Hi Guys, I run DNN V4 for our Intranet - Approx 350 machines. On some machines running IE6/7 the home page loads really slowly unless the user hits return to refresh the page - Anybody had simmilar experiences? Any work arounds - Cheers Marc

My guess is that it is due to the ASP.NET worker process being idle/stopped before they visit the page.  The first page load will take longer as the application is re-compiled and loaded into memory.

This is an ASP.NET configuration item, by default the worker process stops after 20 minutes of inactivity and then restarts as soon as a request comes in.  You can use a keepalive service to ensure that the process doesn't stop.
