I'm putting an ad in the local paper, and I wanted to duplicate in on my web site, with links for more information. The newspaper ad has a picture in the background, and I wanted to have that picture in the background, and then have my linked text on top.

The following works in that it shows up as a background in Edit Text/rich text/design, but it doesn't show up on the page:

<body background="http://www.radianceheating.com/dotnetnuke/portals/0/ad%20background.jpg" >

What can I do that it shows up on my actual page, and not just in the Rich Text Editor design mode? While I am harassing folks who know things - can I make the background non-repeating, or size that element of the DNN page to be the same size as the image?

thanks for ideas!

Hi

Well you need to add this image as a background-image as a css class and then apply the css class to your main area in your skin file.

Paul

Ps set it not to repeat.  You may find if the area that you are going to put the image is bigger or smaller then you will need to shilt the image around a little by adding colour (the same as the background), to the edges of the image

I think he's trying to add a background image from inside FCK editor.

You can try using <table> instead of <body>. I don't know if it works. Never done it myself.
