Hello,

I was wondering if anybody knows the specific file that is responsible for the final outputting of a DNN skin.  I'd like to be able to modify the DNN core and make a tiny change.

Change:

Instead of loading the skin as normal, I would like instead for DNN to output the portal in a frame.  The frameset would consist of 2 frames, one on the top and one on the bottom.  The top frame would have a static source (blah.html).  The bottom frame would be the actual normal DNN output.

Would any of you know what I would need to change?

Thanks :)

Wouldn't it be better to just create a skin with that top pane and put ther that "blah.html"?
In case this is not a solution the core presentation file is the "default.html" file you'll find in the root folder of your dnn installation. You can try modifying it...

Hello,

Adding it to the skin won't work and neither will adding anything to a static file either.  The reason is because each webpage on DNN  has a unique address in the format of http://(portalalias)/(address).

So what really needs to happen is the iframe needs to be built dynamically.  The dynamic portion of the IFrame is simply to to make the  src  =  http://(portalalias)/(address) which should be quite simple if I can just locate the file where DNN starts to kick out the content.

Any ideas anyone on what would be changed?   Thx :)

I just realized that Ithink you meant to say  default.aspx  not default.html.... so with that said, yea I think that may work.

Thx, I'll give it a try :)
