Hello,

My client is using DotNetNuke 4.4 for their public site.  The hosting provider they are using is moving their site to a different server.  The hosting provider simply copied all the files for their current site to a new server.  They made a copy of the database and pointed the new site to the new database.  We then manually updated the portal alias in the new database to the IP address of the new site.

The issue we are having is that the URLs on the new site are not resolving.  We keep getting page not found errors.

The new site can be viewed here:  http://69.67.61.203/dnn/

If you try to access a page under one of the menus you will get the page not found error.

The live site right now can be viewed at www.claraview.com.

Anyone know what the issue could be?

Thanks

So I tried this, but it didn't seem to like it. Add www.claraview.com to your hosts (C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) file effectively ignoring DNS with the IP of the new server. It ended up redirecting me to the IP, so either your host provider hasn't added that hostname to the Site in IIS, or maybe you overwrote the PortalAlias table entry that previously had www.claraview.com. If it happens to be that www.claraview.com is not added in IIS, then have that added. That would effectively tell you whether or not it was a problem with your addition to the PortalAlias table or a problem with the database/configuration itself.

This is the process that I would follow, but I do not consider myself to be a DNN expert by any means.
