Hello

For some reason my DNN installation is not working as expected.

I have a page that has several modules. That page has edit permissions for two security roles: admin and another one that I created and named as 'concessionaire'.

Some of that modules should be edited only for administrator, the problem is that for some reason when I set the other models without edit permission for 'concessionaire', user belonging to 'concessionaire' still be able to edit them when logged in (none of this logged users belongs to administrator rule). However, check box for edit permission remains marked as not setted, it seems that DNN has the rule, but does not respect it.

Could you point me some direction in order to overcome this problem?

You should remove the edit permission at the page level for concessionaire, then add the edit permission to the individual modules of your choice.

The way you currently have it, the modules on the page are probably inheriting the page level permissions.

Hello.

Thank you for your reply.

If I remove edit permission to page for rule 'concessionaire' and add edit permission to a given module. User from that rule is unable to edit it (I'm using TEXT/HTML editor). Tome make sure, I also unchecked "Inherit View permissions from Page" and I got the same behavior.
