I was need some guidance on how to setup IIS6 for a DNN 4.8 secure certificate. I have searched for a tutorial but been unsuccessful. I have a portal that needs to be secured by SSL and it is on an instance in IIS with other portals. Do I need to create another site under IIS for the portal I want to secure and assign it a separate IP address and then point it to the same directory that it is currently on? The DNN part seems to be pretty straightforward but I want to make sure everything works correctly in IIS. It would be nice if there was a document for hosting setup for different DNN instances on webservers.

Any help would be appreciated,
James

You can require SSL on just the folders for the portal you want secured, though that won't secure everything.  Otherwise a new site and new DNN installation would be the way to go.  See www.iis.net for help with IIS 6.
