Hi - Sam is my name.

I am very new to all of this. I have installed dnn and created my first dnn site - I have downloaded skins and played around with all of that.

I am vaguely familiar with the concept of creating my own skins and how it is done - I have dreamweaver and fireworks and would like to start creating my own skins/look and feel.

I am considering a subscription to dnn creative - I think the video tutorial is the way to go for me as opposed to books - although I am open to any suggestions.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thankyou.

Hey Sam,

I am a long-term DNN user and developer, and I have a DNN Creative subscription. Lee Sykes puts a lot of work into DNN C. and it is well worth the cost (especially for a beginner)

Thanx for your prompt reply Rodney. Much appreciated. I will be flat out doing all that is on dnncreative - should I consider learnvisualstudio.net during this learning process or wait till I have a better understanding of DNN from dnncreative. Thankyou

If I were starting off again just now then I'd definitely get DNNCreative's subscription. Lee's accent drives me batty, but he does try and speak slowly and clearly. The various books are not really all that useful unless you're heading straight into development or you must have a paper reference. The videos are far more practical. Pay the money, set up a folder for each issue, put a link to the web page for each issue in the respective folder, and start downloading them all.
