Hi,

I have recently installed and started using DNN on a website and I'm getting it set up. So far, so good. I'm using the Business-Sleek skin by Whirler. But, I'm having an issue with displaying the Privacy Statement and Terms of Use pages. I have configured the site settings to use the "interior" template as default, but the pages mentioned insist on using the "Home" page template, which has a fixed width "Image" cell which causes the information to be displayed in a narrow column all the way to the right of the page.

Not only that, I have set three of the left side "sidebar" containers to display on all pages, and they do not show up on the Privacy or Terms pages either. The only "cell" that is used is the logo. I can get the pages to use the correct container(s), but NOT the correct template.

Another thing worth mentioning, some of the admin pages use the "Home" template as well, but not all of them. For example, the login dialog box uses the "home" template which is incorrect, it should be using the "interior" template.

Is there any way to configure DNN to use the "Interior" template for ALL pages that aren't user built (i.e. Privacy, Terms, Login, etc)?

Thanks!

Jim

No, you're stuck with the normal skin and admin skins system until it changes in the future Cambrian release. You'll find that some modules also use the interior admin skin for displaying details views. It's very annoying and basically means you can't have a special interior-only skin.

So.. if you have modules that show the admin skin to the public then you should make sure that your admin skin suits.

For the terms and privacy pages, you can simply create new pages with the exerior skin and copy the text over to them.

That issue with the fixed image cell.. you should probably remove that from the skin and insert a new content pane in its place. Then you can have the image on some pages and not on others.

Thanks for the reply.

I figured that might be the case. I tried everything I could think of and I couldn't get the pages to behave. No public access will be offered to any admin pages, so only the Privacy Statement and Terms pages will be affected for public view -- and how many people actually read those things ;-)

Thanks again!
