Is there a way to either extend or use another registration for so that I can include a few custom fields I need to track with user registration?  For example, I need paypal account information, etc.  But I dont see how to make that happen.

Don't know if this will help you, but...

In the web.config file you can control the registration fields to some degree I believe (read about it, but never tried it myself). Look for the system.web\profile\properties section and you'll see the registration details. Not sure if this needs to be done before the install though?

Hopefully someone else will provide more detail, but it should give you a starting point to look in the docs, etc. for more detail.
