Hi guys,

I am running a DNN site in two different machines.

One has IIS and DNN and the other has SQL Server 2005.I am using DNN 4.8 and win2003.

The site is very very slow...Both machines are new(dual core + 2GBRam each).

For instance when I press login it takes about 25-30sec to load the home page!

And I am just loading a couple of text/html modules and a couple of link modules.

What is wrong? I have heard that this is an ASP.NET issue but I think this is a hilarious excsuce

considering my configuration,

Any suggestions???

First load only or does it do this every time.  Many things can affect load time, but ASP.NET apps are compiled on first use, so the first request may take a while.  No matter how fast your hardware is.  There is plenty of information here about maximizing performance, and the Snapsis Pageblaster will help too.

this definately sounds slow, there might be a misconfiguration. What is the CPU and memory consumtion in Taskmanager on both machines?

Hi Sebastian,

What I have noticed from yesterday is that this only happens with IE.(I am using ver7)

With mozilla firefox I have no problem whatsoever. In firefox my tempory folder is 50Mb.

I used the same for IE, with no results. I increased it to 250MB but again I the performance is very slow.

What else can I configure in IE?

thanks
