My programmer developed a website in DNN on another server. The files were delivered to me via FTP. I installed DNN and logged into the Admin portal. Instead of creating the modules all over again, I would like to upload the existing modules, skins, etc. into the File Manager. When I have attempted to Upload, the File Manager will not let me select entire files, just individual elements within the files. The formatting and design of my site is already completed. Is there a way for me to move the files via FTP (where?) and then see them in the DNN admin folders, OR upload existing modules into the File Manager. I do not want to recreate my modules.

NOTE: I am the Art Director. This project was developed by a programmer who I can no longer rely on for troubleshooting. When replying, please use plain English and be specific about all the steps involved. I am not using a Windows platform and cannot "START>PROGRAM>..."  Thanks!

its a daunting task to use plain language on this forum :)

the thing is, you actually don't need to bother about the dnn file manager at all. if your developer sent you the whole site, i sure hope he also sent you the database that belongs to it. It is then possible to restore the complete site on your server. This is not something that is very easy to do though, you might be better off getting someone to help you....
