Hello,

i've installed dotnetnuke without problems...

I've created de Database (sql 2000), change permissions... rename web.config...

but thats all! :(

If I open the solution in VS 2005 i have a lot of error's!

And if I login with host or admin and try to add existing modules i see a error:

"An error has occurred. Error: Welcome To My Website... is currently unavailable."

How can i editing my pages?
Can i use VS to edit my portal?
I didn-t find any information about that :(

Sorry...

There are two things you can do with DotNetNuke... (1) use it out of the box and (2) modify the code for it.  If all you want to do is "edit", it does not require source code or VS at all.  DotNetNuke is a fully functional application which runs on its own... the source code is provided in case you'd like to modify it, learn from it or otherwise change it for some other reason.

I recommend that you take a look at the DotNetNuke Guided Tour.

mrsswoop i dont think you read his question correctly (unless that was your tough crap answer) because im having the same prob and ive read post after post after post over and over again after doing the same with all the installations doc's and so forth.....it appears me and him have the same problem, we have an install that gets us to our default.aspx file just fine...we can log in and change all kinds of settings, BUT our modules themselves have errors in them that will not allow us to add content to them...in my case connection to database error that is to long to post in each module...although like i said i can log in under admin and host just fine, even register as a new user...but cannot put content in any of the modules due to the above posted error that the other guy is having...any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
