I ran the latest Windows updates on one of our servers, and it broke DNN.

I moved DNN back to a different server and the same install and portal alias settings worked on a different server.

DotNetNuke.dll is version 4.5.128

Does anyone know what I might do to get around this problem?

Thanks.

When you say it stopped working, do you get any error messages?

No errors, it is stuck in a loop redirecting to itself.
I tried messing with the alias settings, but had no luck at all. I tried moving around app. pools, IIS restarts, web.config stuff, but I am pretty sure it is a security issue related to the Windows update (which is what triggered it).

What version of Windows server are you running on the server?  Before this last batch of patches, when was the last time you applied patches?

Sorry for the basic questions but, is IIS running?  Did you reboot the server?

Just FYI, my server runs Win Small Biz Server 2003, I have applied all patches and never seen this problem.  And I'm running multiple versions of DNN.

The last major patches were about 6 months ago or so.
It is IIS 6 on Windows 2003 Std. Edition.

Unfortunately, it could be what I like to call a "conditional discrepency". Meaning something on the server that was set a certain way triggered Windows update to cause this issue.

I do not know for sure, very frustrating.
