Hi

I am a newbee DNN 4.0 user so please be gentle!

Our developer has designed a XML custom module that allow us to import batches of users into our site. This works fine however the new users are not sent a 'notification' email advising them of access to the site.

Our developer has said the to send the notify email to each new user we should either reset the password manually or add or change each users role to activate the 'notification' email.

This is cumbersome esp as we are adding mutiple 'batches' of users via this module. I was wondering if we could add a 'notify' schema tag & apply what code content is required for DNN to automaticilly 'tick' the box & send the email. Is this possible? If so what would the tag content need ot be?

TIA

Pete

ask your developer to add a call to the notification message send method inside his module, there is no option to create a call by modifications in the database.

Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for replying. Ok I will ask him. Have you heard of other people in the DNN world succesfully using a similar technique?

TIA

Pete
