Hi Ritesch,

Could you elaborate a bit on what you mean when you state that your server-side controls are "not working in view mode?"  Do you mean that you can click on a link, and nothing happens?  Does a postback occur, but no server-side functionality executes?  Does the postback execute properly, but your desired effects are not executed properly?

We'll need as much detail as you can include in order to assist you.

Brandon

Thanks Brandon,

Yes you got it right.when I ma clicking any link of submit button in view mode nothing happens.Infact the postback doen not occur properly and server side function is not called.I had done enought custom module development. But never face such a problem in past.

The only thing i see is i have the starter pack fot 4.5,4.6,4.8 installed in my machine.Do that is creating a problem.

pls try to figure out a solution for this.

Ritesh

Hi Ritesh,

Well that is certainly a strange one.  Is it possible that javascript is somehow playing a role in the problem?  Does your module do anything client-side that might be disabling the postback calls on your controls?

If the other DNN modules are working fine, and it sounds like they are, I reccommend iteratively commenting out large sections of server- and client-side code until the error goes away.  Reduce your module to the very minimum number of elements (even down to a single linkbutton and server-side click event handler).  Once your module starts working again, begin re-adding functionality until it breaks.  In this way you will know which piece of your module to target for debugging.

Hope this helps!

Brandon
