hello,

ive just installed and configured DNN for the first time on a server within my private network. this server host two websites, operating on different ports (81, and 82). both operate normally when browsed from the server machine. when im on another machine, i am able to refer to my non-DNN site running on port 81 like so:

http://10.0.1.10:81/

...however, when i try hitting DNN on port 82, like so:

http://10.0.1.10:82/

...it fails to resolve. the browser redirects to "http://localhost:82/", which of course fails since the browser-machine isnt running any website on itself.

any idea why DNN is redirecting the client browser to "http://localhost" ? is it a DNN setting, or perhaps something in IIS? i have already set the web.config's setting to allow non-port-80 operation.

thanks!
matt

On the server go to the DNN site and log in with Host credentials and go to Admin->Site Settings. At the bottom is a section called Portal Aliases. Add the alias for the IP of your server.
