Hello everybody,

I'm deploying a site using DNN 4.8.
In the site there is a page with a module "User Account".
If in "Manage Password" I try to change the password I got the following error:

"Value cannot be null. Parameter name: passwordAnswer"

How can I solve this problem?

I have seen two diffrent threads started for this issue however neither of them ever got a response.

Is there any fixes for this or even a workaround without turning of the ability to use the password question/answer password reset ability.

Thanks

Can you check your web.config and see if you turned this on by mistake? (this might be a way to turn it off)...

For anyone who continues to experience this problem, please consider opening up a work item in Gemini, at http://support.dotnetnuke.com.  Chances of investigation and rectification will be greatly increased by including a call stack for the error (available through the event log).

Though I have little context, I suspect this error is occurring when the RequiresQuestionAndAnswer flag is activated AFTER users have been created in the database.  It's been awhile since I have checked, but I vaguely recall investigating this problem (or one very similar to it).

Brandon

EDIT: I am assuming that these installations have the RequiresQuestionAndAnswer intentionally set to True.  If this is not the case, please clarify.
