How's this for a crazy twist on this problem:  I have multiple groups set up in my site.  I have been able to successfully send Newsletters to three of them. But on a fourth group I get this same error message (No messages were sent, maybe due to empty roles).

The role is not empty. I've cleaned up all the addresses as best as I can. (did a prior post say that the Newsletter will crap out if it encounters a bad address?  I thought it would skip it and continue with the rest).

DNN version 4.8.0, nothing showing up in the portal logs. Haven't been able to check the server logs yet.

But again the weird thing is, this only happens with one of my groups. The others work fine.
